I am so excited to finally create a website for my emerging painting business! As a little girl, my mother nicknamed me Picasso as she claims she could not produce enough paper and art materials fast enough to satisfy my insatiable desire to create art. I have always enjoyed art classes throughout my school years, from pre-school through college. Yet, my parents convinced me that in order to fulfill my dream of living in a big city, I needed to chose a major that would help pay the rent, not produce a starving artist.
So, I pursued accounting, graduated from college and moved to Chicago with a steady job in public accounting. I was living just a quick run from Lake Michigan (and Michigan Avenue!) working, and playing with many friends from high school and college and having a blast. I was living the dream! Yet, I always felt my creative side was in hibernation-mode. While killing it as a bean-counter, 🤣I met my husband and we eventually moved to six different cities over the next decade: Chicago, Kansas City, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, and eventually Cleveland, where we currently live. During our brief stints in various cities, I often enrolled in an art class on the side, to keep up with my love of drawing and painting. After raising three children over the last thirteen years, I have finally decided to pursue painting as a part time gig!
